Although many people know him as a musician, Ben Everson’s primary calling is that of a Bible preacher. He has been an evangelist since 1995, sent out of Calvary Baptist Church in Midland, Michigan. Ben has preached thousands of times in camps meetings, evangelistic crusades, Bible colleges and Christian schools, Bible and missionary conferences, and many other events.

Arranging and orchestrating have been going on for several months now as we head to the recording stages of our new album due out in August! We are excited to share these songs with you.

This new album will be a mix of classic songs and new numbers, all with smooth harmonies and clear vocals. We’ll be featuring the work of several songwriters we know personally, which will be a real treat. One song has never been recorded before! We’ll have a variety of instrumentation including a special guest pianist.

Ben Heads in for Surgery

Ben Heads in for Surgery

Ben is having surgery June 1 to repair an upper abdominal hernia. He has been having trouble with it for some time, and it may have even been interfering with his singing. Although this is a routine operation, would you please pray that it would be successful. Amanda had a very similar surgery in February with the same doctor and she has recovered very well.

This surgery is relatively routine, but it does have a painful recovery period. Ben’s biggest concern is that his kidney stone currently in his right kidney would not try to leave the kidney during the month of June. It is 10mm and will require surgery to remove, whenever it decides to move. Would you pray that it would stay put while he makes a full recovery?

The June schedule has been kept clear of all engagements so that Ben can recover well. We have scheduled daily posts both here on our website as well as on Facebook throughout the month of June, so come back often.

The Ben Everson Trio plans to be back on the road to Minneapolis for a July 4 event.

GLAD a cappella

The Urgent Need for Revival: Crosstalk America

America is in a mess. There’s seemingly no regard for the rule of law and we’re in trouble morally, financially and spiritually. This shouldn’t surprise us. After all, take a look at what founder John Adams said:

“Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Actually, it goes beyond being moral and religious. In calling for a National Day of Fasting, Humiliation and Prayer in March of 1863, President Lincoln, said the following:

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth, and power. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.”

This description is more relevant today than ever before as America is in desperate need of prayer and revival.
