Today marks 1 week since my surgery for a ventral hernia. When the doc got in there, he saw the hernia was about to get a lot worse with other little ones around it. So I’m very glad we got it done now.
It has been a very painful recovery, but I am on schedule. I can walk (slowly) around the house and when I’m lying down I’m relatively comfortable. My larynx still hurts from being intubated and my voice is not well yet. But I still have 3 more weeks before I need to use it. I have my 2-week follow-up June 16.
DEAD IN THE WATER: We need a new transmission
On our way back from our most recent ministry trip to Virginia and North Carolina, I noticed the vehicle was towing funny. We had to drop the trailer with all of our CDs and equipment in the Greenville, SC, area with a friend in order to make it home to Pensacola so I could have surgery.
Since we got the vehicle home, we are able to have the work done by our mechanic who has worked on all our vehicles for the family over the past 5 years. We’re not able to run our online store because all of our CDs are stuck in Greenville at the moment, and after I finish my recovery, we’re supposed to be on our way to Minneapolis for a July 4th event.
